Our Luggage Limits are the Same as Most Airlines
1. You are permitted two
normal checked bags per person. They will travel
with you on the bus. If the airline and the cruise ship let you have them, so will we.
2. You may also have ONE SMALL carry-on item such as a purse, camera
case, or small backpack. ALL carry-on items MUST FIT under the seat
in front of you or be carried on your lap. Many guests consider a
carry-on to be their third piece of large luggage. Please plan
accordingly. We have limited additional space. There is a $25
charge for each piece of luggage that does not meet these requirements.
We are strict in our luggage assessment. Please be fair warned that
we charge for ALL overages.
3. There is NO day luggage storage in Whittier.
You may however request that your cruise ship transfer your luggage directly to
the airport. This service is available on most sailings. Ask
in advance. In
Seward, day luggage storage MAY
be
available at the cruise terminal, the train depot, or at the Holiday Inn
Express. This changes from season to season
without notice. We are only offering these as possibilities. Please check with your cruise
company before hand.
4. We've been doing this a long time and to the best of
our knowledge there are NO luggage storage facilities available in the
downtown Anchorage area unless you are a registered guest of a particular
hotel. If your plans include some free time in
Anchorage before departing for home, please note that airlines DO NOT
normally allow you to check your bags more than four hours prior to flight
time. Luggage storage is extremely limited and ONLY available at the
airport. A day storage facility in located on the baggage
claim areas of both the north and south terminals. Each charges a nominal fee per bag. It is a $40 roundtrip
to downtown by taxi. Please schedule your drop-off location with
this in mind.
