Hotel Preference
All accommodations in our packages and itineraries,
wheather at B&Bs, cabin resorts, or hotels, are
at least queen beds (kings and twins may be requested), and all have
private baths. Family suites are often available.
All of our packages utilize Bed &
Breakfasts or resort style cabins as our first choice for accommodations
in Alaska. Bed & Breakfasts offer a more intimate Alaskan
experience, are less expensive than standard hotel rooms, and usually
include a morning meal. Cabins usually provide a higher level of
privacy. In some villages and locations our only choice may be a
local hotel.
Bed & Breakfasts in Alaska are the
first choice for independent travelers like you. You'll save
hundreds of traveling
dollars and have a more enjoyable and comfortable visit. Bed & Breakfasts in Alaska are "homestay" which means
you are staying in a private home that has been modified
for commercial use. Most of our B&Bs offer private entrances and
separate guest areas. In some cases you may be sharing the common
areas of the B&B with the innkeeper and family members. However
this is rarely the case.
If you would prefer to not stay in
Bed & Breakfasts, we will be happy to re-quote your itinerary utilizing
hotels. In such instances you can expect the average itinerary price
to increase by about 20% - 30%.
