Denali AlaskaUpon arriving at our Safari sight you will take a 1/4 mile leisurely nature walk where you will see a Dena'ina Indian Encampment. You will visit an authentic trapper’s cabin with its original furnishings and view how trappers lived in "Bush" Alaska at the turn of the century. Your experienced guide will display raw furs from the local area and demonstrate trapping methods. Naturalists will acquaint you with the wildflowers and plants that grow in abundance along the river system and you will learn about the edible plants that were used by the Native Indians for cooking and medicines.

As you travel ten miles of river you will have opportunities to view nesting bald eagles, beaver activity, and moose and you just might see black bear and grizzly bear roaming the shore.

A Three and a Half Hour Denali Alaska Tour

Denali AlaskaDon’t miss the Scenic-Three Rivers Tour! Your exciting trip will begin aboard the “Talkeetna Queen” as it whisks you into the heart of the wilderness in comfort. These are the most technologically advanced river jetboats in Alaska designed to safely navigate rivers that were previously inaccessible. They are glass-domed, environmentally controlled, and have an onboard restroom for your comfort.

The trip will take you on three rivers: the Talkeetna, Chulitna, and Susitna. You will go through the Chulitna River Gorge and experience Class 2 and 3 whitewater. During the 1/4 mile leisurely nature walk you will see a Dena'ina Indian Encampment and visit an authentic trappers cabin with its rustic furnishings and see how they lived in the “Bush” at the turn of the century. You will also visit a replicated native encampment. You will be served a selection of hot beverages (hot chocolate, coffee, and tea) and locally baked chocolate chip cookies.

This is one of our high adventure trips, designed for the hardy adventurer wishing to experience the thrill of the ultimate Alaskan river experience.
