Living Anchorage's "Big Wild Life"

Kayaking

Seward - Our exclusive & unique day tours allow you to experience a 1/2 day of sea kayaking and a 1/2 day wildlife cruise of Resurrection Bay, gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Add an included salmon buffet and you have what we call a perfect day. Secluded coves, bold sea stack formations and waters teeming with wildlife await you. Prior kayak experience is not necessary. Our professional guides make learning how to paddle a sea kayak fun. This combo is offered twice daily by Sunny Cove & Kenai Fjords Tours and departs from Seward Small Boat Harbor.

Kenai - Sea kayaking is a satisfying, peaceful activity that can take you to places in your dreams. Kenai Lake is the headwater for the renowned Kenai River and its prolific salmon runs. The surrounding Kenai Mountains tower above this glacially carved valley on all sides. Mountain Goat and Dall Sheep are frequently seen on the high cliffs. Eagles await lunch, as they sit silent and watchful in trees along the shore. The panorama of this dramatic country will be your experience as you sit atop this aquamarine lake in your sea kayak.

We will provide instructions on sea kayaking for your safe and enjoyable adventure on Kenai Lake. We use single and double kayaks, as well as a kayak for children under 80 lbs. These kayaks with built-in rudders, are stable and easy to maneuver.

Our 3-hour excursion along this jewel of the Kenai Peninsula explores the shoreline and the Alaskan salmon habitat. Your guide will provide an informative narration about the flora, fauna, and the fascinating geological features. Our relaxed paddle will beach along the shore for a refreshing snack and drink.

Homer - Our half day AM and PM trips are excellent for those short on time or tentative about trying kayaking. Our diverse day trip winds its way through two spectacular bays rich in wildlife. The Full day trip is truly quality kayaking.  The two day trip is a lot more than just kayaking.  It's about fully escaping the world of routines. Our professional guides have introduced kayaking in a safe, fun, and comfortable manner to thousands.

Denali - The joy of whitewater becomes more participatory in your own kayak. Imagine yourself learning to kayak class II & III whitewater, crashing through waves and negotiating rapids on your first kayaking adventure. Don't just hold on for the ride -- be a part of the action! Flipping and swimming are always a possibility.
