Our Award Winning Entrees

Alaskan Sourdough Stuffed French Toast

The “Specialty of the House” - our own original recipe.  Locally baked sourdough bread is stuffed with minced ham, scrambled eggs, and special savory spices.  Drenched in our own sourdough batter, it is then deep-fried to a golden brown and served with our "Forgiveness Puree."

Abuelita Elena’s Torta

The best part of a real Mexican breakfast in this house is a treat from Grandma Helen’s recipe box.  Fresh corn tortillas, Alaska onion, Ortega chilies, Chihuahua cheese, and a homemade New Mexico red chili sauce that will knock your zapatos off!  Gringos call this an omelet; we call it tradition and it is best served with a hug.

Tom’s Super Sour
Alaskan Pancake

Maybe the largest sourdough pancake you have ever seen - filled with a spiced mixture of sour cream and sweetened cream cheese.  The “whole enchilada” is then warmed and covered with spiced apples and a touch of homemade sour apple liqueur!

Eggs ala Woollybugger

Our friends, Darla and Doug East, who ran Alaska Woollybugger B&B in Valdez for years, featured this delicacy on their menu.  We’ve added our own touches to three eggs baked medium in a tender whole wheat bread shell.  Finished with cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.  If you can guess the secret spices, you get our recipe cards for free!

Nana Josie’s Frittata

An Italian classic and the Lucido family Sunday special in their Monterey, California restaurant.  Nana’s baked omelet is made with Roma tomatoes, marinated artichoke hearts, mushrooms, and Alaskan grown onions.  Baked with special spices and finished with a zesty Romano cheese, it is accompanied by a homemade Marinara sauce that even makes Sicilians cry "mamma mia!"

Sourdough Waffles and Pancakes

We truly “brew” our own sourdough batter and it is as Alaskan as things get!  Our batter recipe is the one thing we don't share.  Our specialties are lightly baked and served with warm maple syrup and whipped butter.  Add a serving of our warm-fruit compote for a special treat!

Just Plain Eggs and Great Custom Omelets

One, two, or three eggs cooked to your order…and we won’t pick on you for being less adventurous!

Our omelets come with filling choices that include Jack or Cheddar cheese, mushrooms, onions, bacon, ham, tomato, and reindeer sausage.

Complimentary Side Dishes

Bacon

Tender, thick-sliced, and sugar-cured Danish style bacon.

Ham

Virginia baked ham, sliced nice and thick, and pan grilled.

Reindeer Sausage

Yes, a real reindeer blended sausage made right here in Anchorage, Alaska

Leopard Potatoes

Well, we had to sneak the theme in somewhere!  Alaska white potatoes, sweet country yams, and Alaska grown carrots, sautéed with spices.

Warm Fruit Compote

We take an assortment of fresh fruits and simmer them with brown sugar and spices to create the best warm-fruit compote north of Jackson, Mississippi.  Try it alone or on top of our homemade sourdough waffles and pancakes.

Breads

Sourdough, whole grain toast, and English muffins.  Assorted giant muffins.

Jams, Jellies and Syrups

Strawberry or Marionberry Jam.   Warmed maple syrup.

Freshly brewed coffee, hot cocoa, assorted English, Indian, and Asian teas,
2% milk, and ice cold chemical-free Alaskan water
from our
on-site 300' deep Artesian well.
